Kaliber Studio recently partnered with Rayven, a provider of world-leading IoT software, to address a significant challenge faced by the company’s users. Rayven’s web based platform had an outdated user interface and troublesome user experience. This made it difficult for clients to use the software to its full potential and spend extra time training new users on the complexities of t he platform. To solve these issues, Rayven needed a modern, user-friendly interface that would simplify the user experience.
We worked closely with Rayven to understand the software’s functionality and user needs, before mapping out revised user flows as the first step. These user flows revealed both missing steps in the user process, and unnecessary extra steps that could be removed to streamline the user experience. A key missing component was a dashboard to provide an overview of multiple areas at once, and allow quick and easy access to areas that previously required multiple clicks.
With a solid understanding of the functionality requirements, we created a new UI design that would address the challenges and make the UX more intuitive. The new design is clean, modern, and user-friendly, featuring a simplified navigation menu and streamlined user flows. The new UI design provides a much-improved user experience and makes it easier for users to access the software’s features and functionality.
As part of the UI design process, we created a prototype for Rayven to review. The prototype provided a clear visual representation of the new UI design and allowed Rayven’s team to provide feedback and make any necessary revisions. The final product was a modern, easy-to-use UI that could then move to the development stage.
User-centered design is an important consideration on web applications. A positive user experience and intuitive design will improve user adoption and efficiency, and reduce time spent on support.
