Giving birth to a new online experience

Mater Mothers’ Hospital is Australia’s largest maternity service, renowned for providing high quality, compassionate and leading-edge care for mothers and babies. Their exceptional care continues, from the hospital into the home, through their award-winning Mater Mothers’ Hospitals maternity and baby care product range.

Kaliber Studio was tasked to develop an online presence for the Mater Mothers’ product range. Originally part of the Mater Mothers’ Hospital website, Mater Baby Products was to now be it’s own stand alone online store with the main goal of improving customer experience. With busy parents in mind, ease of use and a simple checkout was a high priority.

A key component of the new website was making it easy for mothers and fathers to navigate their way through the product range. Part of this was easily distinguishing the nappy sizes, especially for first time parents, or customers who are not familiar with Mater products. Kaliber achieved this by creating a unique colour coded product page for each different size. This is also useful for existing customers who recognise the colour from the nappy packaging.
